Amjed Cheema, PhD, Team Lead & Managing Partner:

Senior Geoscientist / R&D. with 30 years of diversified experience. Amjed’s prime expertise was developed in the field of sedimentology. Amjed worked as a Geologist/Senior Geologist at the Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan before immigrating to Canada in 2001. He developed a strong background in wellsite geology, petrography, XRD, XRF and electron microscopic analysis. His extensive experience also includes development of depositional and diagenetic models using microfacies, sedimentology, geochemistry, well log interpretation and data integration.

Jamil Azfal, PhD:

Senior Geoscientist / Explorationist with over 20 years of diversified experience working with international E&P companies (OMV and Saudi Aramco) and R&D/Service companies (HDIP and IPC). Jamil has participated in more than 50 technical/soft-skill courses and seminars at national and international levels with over 10 published papers. Many scientific articles addressing biostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy and seismic interpretation have been published in national and international journals.

Jean-Yves Chatellier, PhD, MBA:

Senior geoscientist with 30 years of experience in multidisciplinary integration of geology, geophysics, geochemistry and engineering. Jean-Yves worked around the world for Shell International, Petroleos de Venezuela, Talisman and Nexen. He taught courses and seminars for SPE and AAPG, edited special publications for AAPG and SEG and published more than 180 papers , abstracts and extended abstracts. Jean-Yves is co-chair of the AAPG Research Committee and has responsibilities within many sections of AAPG and CSPG. His expertise covers exploration and production as well as conventional and unconventional tight sand and shale reservoirs.

Ahmed Khan, PhD:

Senior Geoscientist / R&D with over 35 years of diversified experience on laboratory research projects in Pakistan, Germany, and Canada (Brandon University). Ahmed was a lecturer and the Head of Earth Sciences Department, University of Sargodha (2002-2008). His extensive lab background includes XRF and Microprobe Labs in Germany. His wellsite geology and lab work skills have been applied in the WCSB of Canada. Ahmed participated and presented his research work in numerous International conferences and workshops. He has published more than 15 research papers in International Journals.

Mirza Shahbaz, M.Sc. GIT:

Geoscientist/Sedimentologist with over 10 years of diversified experience at wellsite and on laboratory research projects in Canada.  Mirza's lab work skills have been applied throughout the WCSB in Canada including thin-section petrography , digital image processing & interpretation, drill cuttings examination under microscope at AER (Alberta Energy Regulator) and GSC (Geological Survey of Canada in Calgary), petrophysical well log analysis,  XRD, XRF, SEM, facies analysis (patricle size disctribution) and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) studies.
